What Is a Garden Analysis Report?
If your lawn is going brown, your plants keep dying, or your borders look tired no matter what you do, a Garden Analysis Report will tell you why. We visit your garden, take soil samples, assess the conditions, and produce a detailed report explaining what is wrong and how to fix it.
This is a diagnostic service. We do not carry out any work during the visit. We just diagnose the problems and give you a clear, written plan to fix them. You can then fix the problems yourself, buy one of our Chiltern Guides for step by step instructions, or hire us to carry out the work.
What the Report Includes
- Soil analysis: pH test, soil type identification, nutrient assessment, drainage test
- Lawn assessment: thatch depth, compaction test, moss identification, weed identification, grass species identification
- Plant assessment: identification of failing plants, diagnosis of causes (wrong soil, wrong light, wrong watering, pest or disease)
- Light and shade survey: mapping of sun and shade through the day
- Drainage assessment: identification of waterlogging issues and drainage problems
- Pest and disease check: identification of common garden pests and diseases
- Written report: a detailed PDF report explaining every problem found and the recommended fix
- Action plan: a prioritised list of jobs to fix the problems, with estimated costs
